Beginner Classes
The beginner basket series teaches the basic weaving techniques and terminology so that student will know how to weave and read instructions.
This class series can be a 4 basket set for the cost of $75, or choose which ones you would like to weave with the individual cost listed with each basket.
This is the basic square basket. #1 in the series. Student learns to lay out a base, twine to lock in the base, upsett sides and weave. A rim is lashed on to finish. Approx. time-3 hours Cost is $20.
#2 is the basic round. Student learns to lay out a base in spoke fashion for a round basket. Twining is revisited as well as weaving and lashing on the rim. Approx. time-3hours Cost is $20.
#3 is the small wooden base. Student learns to weave on a slotted wooden base. More practice twining and learning to continuous weave. Approx. Time-3hours Cost is $20.
#4 is the Market Basket. Student will weave with a "D" handle and will choose color to accent his/her basket. Approx. time is 4-6 hours. Cost $35.
